A little story about violet

During Napoleon I exile to Elba, in 1814, one year before he abdicated, followers of Bonaparte chose VIOLET as a symbol because the last message that Napoleon had sent to his supporters after the Capitulation of Paris was that he 'would return with violets'. So Napoleon was named 'Corporal Violet'. Soon, cards displaying a bunch of innocent violets were sold all over France. But when looking thoroughly at the drawings, one could see the profiles of Napoleon, his 2nd wife Marie-Louise and their 3 years old child, King of Roma. The French government fought against it through an Act and until 1874, prohibited any reproduction of violet because of its association to Bonapartists.

When Napoleon died, in his gold and crystal medallion were found petals of violet and hair from Josephine, his eternal love...

This Violet Eau de toilette is natural, extracted from fresh cut Parma violet petals from the valley of Vesubie in Southern France. The Eau de toilette is handcrafted by a natural perfumer based in the valley and whose philospohy is 'to refuse to create sophisticated perfumes with compositions changing every year and not to reproduce commercial fragrances, always striving to use only natural ingredients freely offered by Nature itself'.
