On 12 Germinal year 3 (1st April 1795), misery is great in Paris. The last Sans-culottes (French without knee-breeches) enter the Convention assembly in Paris in an attempt to obtain bread and the return to the 1793 Constitution. But they are defeated by the Convention.

On a brighter note, Germinal is also the renewal of Nature with the Spring equinox. Plants and flowers blossom, prairies and fields are covered with flowers and green grass. Nature is back to life for the pleasure of our eyes and nose! 

GERMINAL is  the first of a series of 12 historic perfumes built around the 1795-1801 era. A floral and aromatic composition to express the freshness and the greenness of the Spring. Worked around an accord of aniseed,rose and berry fruit, it is enhanced by a bouquet of neroli, iris, geranium and jasmine and an aromatic cocktail of mint and nutmeg. GERMINAL is meant to give you the sensation of walking through a vineyard in the fresh morning spring.
