Exclusive fragrances -LILY OF THE VALLEY

The symbol of happiness and good luck

Originally from Japan, this flower was introduced in France in the medieval age. The French term 'Muguet' comes from the Latin word 'Muscatus' meaning 'that smells of musk'. Often considered as the symbol of renewal and spring, it soon became the symbol of happiness and good luck. Every year, on 1st May, small bunches of Lily of the Valley are distributed all over France as a celebration of good luck. Since 1936, it is also a symbol of celebration of the Day of Labour.

Although it does not release its beautiful fresh and musk scent from distillation or extraction, Lily of the Valley is one of the favorite plants for perfumers and one that fascinates them. It is generally found in synthetic version.

After years of search and trials to reproduce this gorgeous scent naturally, Les Parfums d'Isabelle found an old 18th century recipe from a French artisan perfumer to recreate the smell of the Lily of the Valley using only pure essential oils, absolutes and butters. It is our pride and pleasure to now offer it to you as an 'Extrait' (perfume concentrate). The ultimate scent of Spring!

(...) When I saw the lily of the valley sample I thought that it would be perfect for a friend who loves the flowers
but probably too sweet for me. I was wrong. It is gorgeous and I can't stop smelling my wrist!

I'm so glad to see someone making perfumes from these wonderful oils and making them smell so beautiful. Best wishes
